Inspired by a short film titled “Retreat” which I was audio designing, this song was recorded in the course of a day. Starting out as a sample of recordings intended to be used for the score, it turned into a different thing entily. None of those recordings made it into the final film.

As they tried to, tell my father,
they sent me you, signed my mind;
So I can’t begin again.
I can’t see where this ends.
No I can’t begin,
The beginning is the end,
And I haven’t seen the truth,
But I’ll never get there yet,
And so my

Troubles keep on getting,
My troubles keep on heavy;

And the boxes they all crumble down,
What will they hold can never be found,
They’re stacked they’re stacked
On all the crates of,
Eyes I never see them wide;

Oh they crumble,
And they flall,
Flowers in the field gonna take em’ all;

So how can you live with
What we’ve done to
All of the people around?
How can you deal with
All of the crumbling?
How can you see with your jaded eyes, and:

I’ve seen trouble on the fair oaks wind,
Isla vista to the whole of begin,
Oh they crumble
